What is RSS?
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is a standard format for distributing and gathering content from Web sites. RSS allows users of frequently updated sites to know when those sites have been updated without having to actually visit the site.
How to use RSS Feeds
To view RSS feeds, you will need a news reader or aggregator. These are available as desktop software applications or through Web-based services. Many are available at no cost.
Please Note: The University at Buffalo does not endorse or recommend any specific RSS readers. Users should select the reader that best meets their individual needs and preferences.
